Key points
Manchester United embarked on the 2024/25 FA Youth Cup journey on Wednesday night, with Adam Lawrence looking to win the one which got away.
After a perfect 10 wins from 10 start to the U18 Premier League season, now attention was directed toward the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday.
Manchester United took on Coventry at Leigh Sports Village in the third round of the one competition in which Adam Lawrence’s brilliant 2023/24 U18 Red Devils failed to win.
It was a dominant win for United on the night as many may have predicted, with the home side winning 5-0.
The goals were shared by Gabriele Biancheri who scored a first-half brace, before completing his hat-trick in the second-half. Biancheri’s third was also his 20th of this remarkable season.
The other two goals came through Chido Obi, as he got one in the first-half and then a brilliant free-kick in the second. This leaves Chido with eight goals for United since joining in October.
