Marcus Rashford might be forced to accept an uncomfortable reunion with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United as he faces another rejection.
Marcus Rashford’s January window can be summed up in a single sentence- a lot of smoke without any fire, as he’s been linked to many clubs but hasn’t progressed with any.
It all points to a lot of speculation being driven from his side, with the “interested” parties not having anything to do with him.
That theory reflected poorly on Rashford and now, that theory is turning into reality as one of the clubs thought to be involved in those sweepstakes have come out with a public rejection!

Marcus Rashford faces rejection
Ruben Amorim’s brutal comments about Rashford already meant that the Man Utd forward wasn’t having a good time of things so far.
Following that, Henry Winter suggested Rashford’s Man Utd career is over, but selling is a two-way street, something which noises from Rashford’s camp seem to have forgotten.
Rashford’s wages always meant a move would be difficult unless he realised the reality of his situation and take a pay cut, which isn’t looking likely.
In the absence of that, he’s facing rejection from multiple clubs because his wages don’t reflect his contribution to the team.
Fenerbahce are the latest team to make their rejection public after there were reports that Barcelona have given him a reality check as well.
Fenerbahce vice-president, Acun Ilicali, spoke to Sky Sports and revealed that they were offered the chance to sign Rashford which they promptly rejected.
He said: “Actually, yesterday it was in the news that we are interested in him. I think Rashford is a fantastic player, I really like him. When it came in front of us, unfortunately we said no for this transfer.
“There is nothing that we are interested in him. Of course, there are some rumours that spread. I can say very comfortably that we are not interested, but he is a good player.”
Rashford’s best option is to play himself into the market
If Amorim’s comments towards Rashford are any indication, the player is seemingly refusing to realise that his best option is to play himself into contention.
Even if he’s made his mind up about leaving, as his interview asking for a new challenge implied, he should open his eyes and see the reality.
No club is paying his wages for his contribution, especially now, with the further added risk that Amorim has put on him about being unprofessional.
The best way out for him is to put everything aside and run himself into the ground for the next six months that rehabs his value.
That’s the only way he can get even remotely close to getting a sideways move in terms of club prestige and wages, let alone an upward one.
